The spirit of U2 has captured the hearts of millions, including those of five gentlemen collectively known as Zoo2. Since 2002, this Southern California based band, has been perfecting one of the most passionate recreations of a live U2 concert making their mark in the tribute band community.
Zoo2 blends all the elements that need to come together when recreating one of the best bands in the world. Bono's unmistakable vocal quality, The Edge's huge guitar sound, Adam Clayton's solid bass lines and Larry Mullen Jr.'s unique drumming style. However...
The secret to Zoo2 is having the "fifth" member, which we like to call our own "Daniel Lanois" (longtime U2 producer). In a real U2 concert, there are musicians playing "live" under the stage. We have the luxury of having Paul Wilcox, a very talented multi-instrumentalist and engineer, playing piano keyboards, bass pedals and percussion, rounding out the sound and making sure that each song has the right mix, effects and added color.
Zoo2 has all the replica's of U2 guitars, drums and microphones. Zoo2 may have spent countless hours analyzing the songs, the moves and the look of U2. But what we enjoy most and seems to come naturally, is simply, the spirit of U2.
